It is a great pleasure and honor for me to be selected as an honorary president of 27th congress of radiology by president of Iranian radiology society and president of 27th congress of radiology (ICR).
Being one of the oldest members of Iranian radiology society, I am happy to see incredible progress in the society. The language of the congress is English, and therefore, professors , speakers from other countries and universities can understand and observe advances and progress has been made in science and imaging in our country.
The first radiological society congress was held in one single hall with only few radiologists participants. Now, I am very happy to see the congress is being held in four active congress halls at the same time, also numerous active refresh courses and workshops are being held simultaneously.
Subspecialties in our country in radiology such as neuro-imaging, caradiovascular imaging, interventional, pediatric radiology, abdominal imaging and women’s imaging indicates incredible progress in the field of radiology in our country.
Fortunately, our young colleagues who have entered this field are among the most active and intelligent medical doctors. Interesting topics in imaging such as FDGPET CT wich shows primary tumors and metastasis at the same time, and molecular imaging with MRI FDG PET will be discussed in this congress.
I hope all colleagues will benefit from this congress and learn the latest technology and science in this friendly environment.
